MFS Series

1-23 GHz frequency synthesizers (in-band) geared mainly for SATCOM applications.

This line of low-power, compact frequency synthesizers employs a single module design, implemented with CMOS ASIC, advanced RF MMIC, and a dedicated microcontroller. A KU-band synthesizer with 1 KHz step, 2.2 GHz bandwidth and integrated L-band LFLO consumes only 8 Watts. This 65% saving over competing units translates into lower operating temperature (thus higher reliability) and allows for smaller power supplies. The synthesizers meet the requirements of IESS 308, Eutelsat, and MIL-STD-188 for fixed and mobile SATCOM ground stations with large safety margins. The units are manufactured in large volumes and are field proven since 1996.

WMFS Series

1-23 GHz frequency synthesizers geared mainly for military applications.

The WMFS is a wide-band military synthesizer, covering 1-23 GHz in bands up to 6 GHz wide, and features step sizes of less than 1 Hz. The unit also features a switching speed of less than 1 millisecond, low spurious (less than -70) and low power consumption (10 watts). This small package is hermetically sealed and ruggedized for military application. Typical Phase Noise is -95 dBc@100 KHz offset @ 10 GHz.

DFS Series

1-23 GHz frequency synthesizers (in-band) geared mainly for high capacity digital radios operating in microwave and millimeter wave bands, supporting modulations up to 256 QAM.

Designed with a particular emphasis of zero phase hits. This in combination with extremely low microphonics and wide temperature range, provide a unique solution for digital radios in the millimeter waves, KA, KU, XX and C bands. It employs low power components that keep the total DC power consumption below 4 Watts. This keeps junction temperature low and improves the overall reliability

The frequency control is handled by the built in microcomputer. It can be customized to meet a wide range of special needs such as frequency bands, step size and output power. These units are mass-produced and are field proven for over 2 years.
